The topic I chose to work on was the preservation of culture & heritage and I was tasked to create a digital solution that would address this problem. I decided to focus specifically on Chinese dialects.

OBJECTIVE
To provide a fun and engaging method of language learning in order to encourage consumers to want to learn more. With the very busy lives of youths and overall short attention span, many lose their motivation to learn within mere days. So, through 'Can Dialect?', we hope to ignite a constant flame of interest for cultural dialects within our consumers and provide useful, enjoyable resources.







Many local youths enjoy watching dramas and movies; more specifically Korean media. We want to ensure that Gen Zs can stay motivated and interested in learning dialects, but most importantly have fun doing it. So, we provide our learning materials through a more enjoyable medium, edutainment (education & entertainment)! Dubbing and subbing over popular Western and Asian media in dialect, along with our AI tools, would help youths have a more relaxing & stress-free language learning experience.






HOW DOES 'CAN DIALECT?' WORK?
As pop culture and media, specifically Korean media, have become increasingly popular amongst youths, 'Can Dialect?' would utilize this to engage its consumers. By using AI deepfake dubbing over popular content, we can create funny and quirky educational materials that would stimulate consumers cognitively. Translations, romanizations, and prompts would also be generated for a better understanding of the dialect, promoting a more in-depth learning process.







DELIVERABLES
The deliverables of Can Dialect? consists of a main digital website, social media reels, posters, and a comic guidebook. These deliverables are to help promote the brand through its eye-catching visuals and serve as assistance in dialect learning.
